An exclusive seating area hosts VIP's during Fashion Week Kickoff

(LOS ANGELES, CA 14 March 2005)  The Skyline Studios unveiled an ultra-modern VIP Lounge at MOCA The Geffen Contemporary as part of Gen Art's much-anticipated The New Garde installation show, which took place on Monday night, March 14, 2005.  The event kicked off Fashion Week Los Angeles and featured artistic installations by designers Goretti, Edith Palm, and Australia's Bytinaxxx.

The VIP Lounge provided extraordinary vistas of the night's exhibits from a 2,000 sq. ft. private mezzanine floating above the main floor.  Sophisticated low seating from the Carlos Alberto Collection (The Skyline Studio's exclusive furnishings brand) featured exotic macassar, zebrawood and off-white linen slipcovers.   Enhancing the zen-inspired environment were dramatically oversized orchid plants and sculptural African pieces from the Skyline's own primitive arts collection.  Architectural murals painted by Brad Reyes and cozy floor poofs provided by LoveSac completed the laid-back look.

Throughout the night, the lounge played host to over 250 glittering guests, including high-level celebrities, VIP press and Gen Art's platinum-level members who enjoyed a private bar and a DJ spinning uptempo grooves.  Pampered guests watched the fashion programs from their private mezzanine in style.

An interdisciplinary style lab for Interiors and Fashion, The Skyline Studios was founded three years ago by principals Carlos Alberto Gutierrez and Debra Stevenson.

The team creates wide-raging product lines, directs corporate branding and develops contemporary designs for hotels, retail stores and showrooms.  Recent projects include furniture for Bellagio Spa Tower Las Vegas, the newly designed penthouse suites at Casa Cupula (an acclaimed boutique hotel in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico) and a unique turnkey program for Terrazas del Sol at The Four Seasons Hotel, Punta Mita.  The Skyline Studios also serves as the West Coast office for Apparel Search (www.ApparelSearch.com) and handles all design inquiries through the site.
