The Company Description of Its Time

Fiber and Yarns: natural and man-made yarns in separate segments, covering yarns for apparel textiles, home textiles, upholstery and interiors. Natural and Man-Made Fabrics: woven and knitted, natural, man-made and mixed fabrics, from classic constructions to fashionable and innovative designs, shown by Egyptian and international weavers and knitters. The Flashback Numbers: 2005 and 2006

The record of past editions is unusually concrete, kept here with its dates. Egytex is an annual trade fair, but the year before the filing was not held; the last Egytex held was in 2006, which had 130 exhibitors, 476 buyers and 278 buying agents representing all major markets for Egypt's textile and clothing exports, with sizeable representation from companies catering to the USA, UK, Spain, France, Germany and Italy, and buyers from Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Greece, Netherlands, UAE, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Russia and China at the three day event. The filing notes a 24% increase in buyers, buying agents and participants in that edition compared with Egytex 2004.

The 6th edition, held from 9th to 11th of May 2005, is recorded with the same figures - 130 exhibitors showcasing yarns, fabrics, apparel, home textile and accessories to 476 overseas buyers and 278 buying agencies - over an area of 2000 sq. mts. in hall no. 15A of Cairo International Fair Ground, Cairo, Egypt.
