Fashion becomes intoxicating on Saturday, August 25, 2007 when Mockingbird Station, the pioneer of mixed-used developments in Texas, will host its inaugural Flirt Fashion Show. Free and open to the public, the event is a collaborative effort with The Station's restaurants and retailers, and will feature a raffle of prizes donated by Mockingbird Station tenants, the proceeds from which will benefit the efforts of Dress for Success' Young Executives for Success.

The event will kick off at 3 p.m. with a luxury car show and live music featuring the Rhythms, Intake, 1000 Miles from Home, The Salutation and We Heart the Violence. Festivities culminate at 8:15 p.m. with a fashion show debuting the hottest fall styles. Other event activities will include image consultant-led shopping tours, as well as a VIP after party at Trinity Hall Irish Pub. Special customer discounts and promotional offers will be available throughout the day from participating restaurants and retailers.

The Flirt Fashion Show is a way for Mockingbird Station retailers and restaurants to reintroduce The Station as a top-of-mind destination for shoppers and entertainment seekers in and around North Texas,
said Sarah-lynn Jimenez, Mockingbird Station's general manager.
Dallas is one of the trendiest and most fashionable cities in the country, and this event is designed to be a public celebration that reflects both our town's and The Station's edgy style and sophistication, while also promoting a cause that equips disadvantaged women with the resources they need to advance in the workforce.

This event is a great opportunity to draw attention to the mission of Dress for Success and Y.E.S.!, which helps raise funds to support  women who need assistance in their quest to achieve self-sufficiency,
said Noelle LeVeaux Dugan, executive director of Dress for Success Dallas.
Dress for Success provides ongoing support that empowers women to successfully transition into the workforce, build thriving careers and prosper in the mainstream workplace. Mockingbird Station provides an eclecticness that mirrors their individual personalities, with a level of energy and excitement that echoes their passions and success.

Since the Phase III groundbreaking in April, Mockingbird Station has been offering complimentary valet parking to all guests, which will remain in full force during The Flirt Fashion Show. In addition to this service, The Station is working to secure supplementary parking from adjacent properties and also is planning to provide free, convenient shuttle service to and from surrounding locations. Furthermore, the DART rail station, adjacent to Mockingbird Station, offers guests convenient, direct access to inexpensive public transportation.

Ensuring that our guests have convenient access to parking and services is paramount to us
not just for this event, but everyday, said Jimenez. This is essential for a pleasant dining and shopping experience at Mockingbird Station, and T
he Flirt Fashion Show will be no different. We want this event to capture the public's imagination and reinforce in their minds that if it's a good time they're looking for, they'll find it at The Station.

About Mockingbird Station

Mockingbird Station became an instant urban village success upon its inception in 2000, mixing architectural styles and unprecedented amenities to create a lively atmosphere, unlike any other development in North Texas. Developer Ken Hughes created chemistry when he paired lifestyle, work and retail with the local transit system in a ten-acre pedestrian friendly site. The Station is filled with 175,000 square feet of both local and national retailers and restaurants, plus the Angelika
an eight-screen independent theater. In addition, it is home to 211 loft-style apartments and 150,000 square feet of office space.

Mockingbird Station is equally appealing to motorists and rail commuters with its convenient location at the northeast corner of I-75 and North Central Expressway, as well as the Red or Blue Line of the DART light rail. Trains run every 10-20 minutes with direct platform access, and there are over 1,500 surface level and covered below-ground parking spaces. On-the-go casual and world-class cuisine are all available at Mockingbird Station, along with a unique retail experience ranging from national chains to treasured and eclectic local favorites.
