Every bracelet type in the Jewelry Guide, by stone, metal and style
Bracelets are one of the oldest and most varied forms of jewelry, and this guide organizes them the way shoppers actually look for them: by gemstone, from amethyst and aquamarine to diamond, emerald, garnet and onyx; by metal and material, including gold, gold plated and leather; and by style, including bangles, beaded, chain, charm and cuff bracelets, plus bridal, designer, fashion, friendship, men's and children's bracelets. Use the navigation below to reach each bracelet guide, and page two of this guide for the remaining bracelet types.

Bracelets are wrist adornments that encircle the wrist and come in a multitude of styles, including bangles, cuffs, tennis bracelets, and charm bracelets. They can be crafted from various materials, including metals, beads, and leather.
Bracelet shopping usually starts from one of three questions: a stone, a material, or a shape. The gemstone guides, amethyst through onyx, each cover that stone's color, meaning, and the bracelet styles it suits, and most link onward to the matching rings, earrings and necklaces guides for readers building a set. The material guides cover gold in depth, gold plating and what it means for wear, and leather construction. The style guides, bangle, chain, charm, cuff and beaded among them, are construction-first: how the bracelet is made, how it fastens, and how it should fit.
Occasion and wearer cut across those groups. Bridal bracelets are chosen to sit quietly beside a ring and a dress; designer and fashion bracelets follow the season's shapes; friendship bracelets are handmade and exchanged; men's bracelets favor leather, steel and dark beads; and children's bracelets are sized and made for small wrists with safety in mind. Starting from the closest match in the navigation above will land on the guide written for that exact need.
Before ordering, check the fit: how to measure your wrist for a bracelet explains how much length to add for snug, comfort and loose fits - and why bangles are sized by the hand.
The main construction types are chain bracelets, bangles (rigid closed bands), cuff bracelets (rigid open bands), charm bracelets, beaded bracelets, link and tennis bracelets, and woven or leather bracelets. Each type is covered by its own guide in this section, alongside guides organized by gemstone and by metal.
Measure the wrist snugly and add a small allowance, roughly half an inch for a close fit and more for a draped fit. Rigid bangles are the exception: they are sized by the hand they must pass over, so their sizing follows knuckle measurement rather than wrist measurement.
Page two of this bracelets guide continues the listing with the remaining bracelet types and stones. Both pages together cover every bracelet guide in this section, and each individual guide covers its type's styles, materials, sizing and care.
