Production, sourcing and manufacturing roles from A to Z — the M page of the category index
This is the M page of the Production and Sourcing category index, which files role descriptions alphabetically by job title. Four production roles begin with M, and together they span the category’s range: an overview of manufacturing work itself, the manager who runs the factory, the marker maker and the materials consultant.

Manufacturing Jobs — Apparel is the overview page for factory work in the clothing industry: the departments, occupations and entry routes that make up garment manufacturing as a whole. Manufacturing Manager — Clothing goes inside one senior job within that world, the manager accountable for a plant’s planning, people, quality, cost and delivery.
Marker Making describes the planning craft that decides how pattern pieces nest on the cloth and therefore how much fabric every garment consumes — a small role with a large effect on cost, now practised mainly in CAD. Materials Consultant covers the independent specialist who advises brands and factories on fabrics, trims and components: selection, testing, troubleshooting and sourcing judgement.
Production and Sourcing covers the making side of fashion: developing and engineering styles, pattern work by hand and computer, colour in laboratories and dye houses, factory management, quality control and sourcing. Its descriptions sit across sixteen letters — A, C, D, E, F, G, I, L, M, O, P, Q, S, T, V and W in the alphabet bar above — fullest at A and P.
A complete index needs a page for every letter, and the letter pages work as a set: each one introduces its own roles properly rather than repeating the hub, and the hub itself lists the whole category on one page.
Four: Manufacturing Jobs — Apparel, Manufacturing Manager (Clothing), Marker Making and Materials Consultant.
The Manufacturing Manager (Clothing): the manager responsible for production planning, departments and supervisors, quality systems, cost control and delivery dates across the whole plant.
The Production and Sourcing hub lists the whole category on one page, organised by letter. This directory page covers letter M in depth, and the other letter pages are linked below.
