Why Does Santa Claus Wear Black Boots?

This is actually a rather simple answer.  The truth is that Santa already owned a black belt, and wanted his shoes to match to the color of the belt.  In addition, he thought that the black boots looked good with his red suit.  That is why Santa Claus wears black boots.
