About the T Terms

The T entries fall into a few natural groups. The production group explains the tools and documents a factory works with every day: tagging tools and swift tacks, the techpack that specifies a style, and the time and action calendar that schedules an order from receipt to delivery. The craft group covers the tailor and the tannery — two of the oldest skilled trades in the clothing business. The textile group deals with measurements and units, and with textile waste and recovery. The largest group is the trend family, because spotting, forecasting, boarding and reporting trends is a whole segment of the industry in its own right.
