Roll goods suit international trade better than most textiles. A container of spunbond or needlepunch travels without creasing damage, tolerates weeks at sea, and arrives as the same product that left — provided the specification travels with it. Trade therefore runs on written specifications: polymer, bonding route, basis weight, width, roll length and diameter, colour and any finish, each tied to a test method both sides accept.
