Welcome to the A section of the Apparel Search Fashion Company Names directory. This hub lists and links every A filing: 26 company profiles, linked below in A-to-Z order. The letter runs from trade associations and technology suppliers to some of the best-known retail names in the world, and the spread is the point - a names directory earns its keep by filing the industry's whole alphabet, not only its celebrities.

The biggest names are here: Abercrombie & Fitch with its five brands, the adidas Group with Reebok and TaylorMade, American Eagle Outfitters with its year-by-year timeline, Amazon and Alibaba - the two platform giants of fashion shopping and fashion sourcing - Ann Inc. and Ann Taylor, ASICS with a corporate timeline running back to 1949, and Austin Reed, founded in 1900. How the A Letter Is Organised

Use the chip grid below as the letter's table of contents: one chip per profile, exactly once, in alphabetical order by company name. Two pairs of filings deserve a word of guidance. Ann Inc. and Ann Taylor are separate pages on purpose - the first is the parent company's corporate record (1954 heritage, store counts, the ascena merger), the second is the store brand written from the shopper's side. Aéropostale and P.S. from Aéropostale are likewise separate: the teen retailer's own record on one page, its closed children's concept - first store at the Palisades Mall in West Nyack, later all closed - on the other.

Reading the Profiles

Dated statements stay attached to their dates, and closed or acquired businesses stay as historical profiles (the directory removes dead companies from shopping listings, never from history). Each profile includes a gallery of photographs. Where a company's record is short - Ashley Stewart, Aura, Argos - the profile stays short rather than padding the record.
