Welcome to the E section of the Men's Fashion Brands directory. In this area of the fashion brand directory you will find men's fashion brands from leading apparel companies and fashion designers that begin with the letter E: eight brand profiles in all, gathered in the grid below - Easton, Ecko, Eddie Bauer, Ed Hardy, Element, Energie, Ermenegildo Zegna and Eton. E is the directory's outdoors-and-boards letter with a luxury spine: a baseball equipment giant, a skateboard brand and an outdoor outfitter share it with two Italian names, a Swedish shirtmaker, an urban fashion company and a tattoo artist's licensed label.

If you know of an important men's clothing brand that begins with the letter E and is not listed in this section, please let us know. Readers who prefer categories can use the wider directory, and the A-to-Z letter links ride in this page's alphabet bar. Each profile below gives its brand in full - founding facts, ownership changes and product claims, and a plain statement wherever information is thin, which in this letter means Energie, for which no history is known at all.

The Eight E Brands

The letter's deep histories belong to its two oldest houses, and both begin with making things rather than marketing them. Ermenegildo Zegna, the Italian luxury fashion house, was founded in 1910 when Ermenegildo bought his father's textile looms, and it remains in family ownership under the fourth generation. Eton follows in 1928: fine men's shirts crafted in GÄnghester, Sweden, where the original factory and headquarters remain - four body fits, 45 parts and 12,000 stitches to a shirt, and a presence in 49 markets. Against those two, Eddie Bauer is different: the founder and his passions are named - innovation, quality and an appreciation of the outdoors - and no founding date is given at all.

The other five are children of sport and street. Easton, headquartered in Thousand Oaks, CA, is the world's leading manufacturer of baseball and softball equipment, grown to the No. 1 position on innovations including the first true aluminum bat of 1972, with apparel one line in an equipment list. Ecko - Yakira, L.L.C., doing business as Ecko Unlimited - was founded by Marc Ecko in 1993, rhino-logo'd, rooted in hip-hop and skating culture and graffiti-based styles, and presenter of the Ecko Function collection in December 2017. Element, founded by Johnny Schillereff in 1992 on wind, water, fire and earth, keeps skateboarding at its roots, with the eco-friendlier Emerald collection beside its apparel and footwear. Ed Hardy is the letter's licensing drama: Don Ed Hardy's tattoo art, licensed to Christian Audigier in 2005, peaked at more than $700 million in 2009, collapsed within a year, and passed mainly to Iconix Brand Group by 2011. And Energie stands as the caution: a men's jeans brand about which nothing more is known.

How to Use This E Hub

Start from the kind of research you are doing. For a brand's story, open its profile: each one gives its facts in full, states plainly where information is thin - Energie has no history beyond its jeans pointer, Eddie Bauer no founding date - and gives the official brand site in References, which all eight brands in this letter have. For a purchase, use the shopping buttons on each profile and the men's clothing store directory linked from every page, and judge each garment against the standard its own profile records, from Eton's 45 parts and 12,000 stitches to Easton's No. 1 position in its sports.

The editorial links for this letter are in the grid below, the alphabet bar, the navigation and each profile's own lists. Eight names make the E section: two old European houses, an American outdoor cornerstone, a baseball equipment leader, an urban fashion company, a skateboard lifestyle brand, a tattoo-art licence and one honestly thin jeans record. That is the E section: eight brands, presented plainly.
